Digital anthropologist Lisa Talia Moretti did some research for us on what skills humans need to possess in order to thrive in an automated world of work.
She started with the question: what differentiates humans from machines?
Critical thinking and creativity are the two key differentiators. She then explored the skills which humans need to learn and possess in the new world of work that is dawning on us. When the 7 skills she uncovered are explored in detail, it becomes obvious that the most critical change that needs to happen in work right now is how we design our client experiences: how we serve each other better, in more human ways.
Her research paper called “Abundant Journeys and Fractured Futures” is an impressive piece of work that outlines her findings and the implications.
